Monday almost done

I spoke too soon. It turned out better than I thought it would. The Pulse was great, with another score over 28,000 which should get me close to #1 nationally again, if not at the the top. Morgan did a great job and I tipped her $20. I felt guilty I pushed her away earlier, and I wanted to help her since she’s expecting a baby at the beginning of 2015. She’s going to find out if it’s a boy or a girl in two weeks.

The Lions beat the dog out of the Giants in the first Monday Night Football game 35-14. The Chargers and Cardinals are scoreless in Arizona, where there has been tremendous flooding the past few days. A lot of fans could not make out to Glendale for the game. I’ve heard horror stories about how hard it is to get around the Phoenix metro on a dry day. On a day like this, it’s got to be hell.

I quit playing trivia at 9 p.m. I’m trying to get a little work done, but it’s hard with the game on. I’ll try, but I think I’m in good shape since I don’t have to leave until noon tomorrow for Russell.

About David

I am a sportswriter for a group of weekly newspapers in small towns across northern Kansas. I grew up in New Orleans, went to college at LSU and wandered in the wilderness until Hurricane Katrina finally put me on the path to my current job.
