Lazy old me

Two weeks between posts. Bad. Very bad.

I should be somewhere right now, but I’m not.

Got a call last night at 5:30 telling me my appointment in Hays which was supposed to be at 9 a.m. had to be moved back to 11. I hope it’s not about me.

I finally got out of Russell for the first time in over a week yesterday evening. Coincidentally, I went to Hays. Needed to go to Home Depot because three light bulbs in the other room downstairs were burned out, and I had none left. Since I was there, I figured I might as well splurge at Taco Bell (sorry LIz) since I hadn’t been in awhile.

I made it through Thanksgiving. I did not eat with my parents. My grandfather was there, because I could hear the commotion at the table through the door which leads to the stairwell. I had to sneak turkey and dressing when my parents weren’t looking. I passed on the sweet potatoes and mac and cheese.

I’ve been avoiding the blog as of late. Maybe that isn’t the best idea. Sitting alone with your thoughts isn’t the best idea.

The contact lens I just put in my left eye is bugging me. Great. Hopefully getting out of the house will improve. Usually the right eye has been more troublesome, but not this time.

About David

I am a sportswriter for a group of weekly newspapers in small towns across northern Kansas. I grew up in New Orleans, went to college at LSU and wandered in the wilderness until Hurricane Katrina finally put me on the path to my current job.

  1. Take care of yourself, and I think blogging is good for you, even if you don’t post all of it. Take care of your eyes — I have to a have cataract surgery on both of mine. My 76- year-old brother has better eyes Thani do😥😬
