Frozen Friday

What was supposed to be an exciting day turned into one of sheer boredom.

Thank you very much, Mother Nature. NOT.

The roads iced over this morning across most of Kansas. That led to many high school basketball games getting postponed, including Smith Center at Norton.

I learned of the postponement just after noon. I made a very quick run to the post office to make sure two time sensitive Christmas cards got out before collection at 12:15, and then I found out a few minutes later there would be no basketball in Norton.

The Smith Center-Norton game is now Jan. 31. Norton’s next game isn’t until Jan. 3 when the Bluejays host Cambridge, Neb. I was planning on not going to that one, but plans may change, especially if I can’t get tickets to the LSU-Missouri game in Columbia Jan. 4.

I did next to nothing Friday. It’s a few minutes after midnight Saturday. I’m going to sleep as late as I can. I need it.

The only good thing about games getting called off today is it means less work. Maybe I can get to Kansas City for a few days before Christmas.

About David

Louisiana native living in Kansas. New Orleans born, LSU graduate. I have Asperger’s Syndrome, one toe less than most humans, addictions to The Brady Bunch, Lifetime movies, Bluey, most sports, food and trivia. Big fan of Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, New Orleans Saints, Montreal Canadiens. Was a big fan of Quebec Nordiques until they moved to Denver. My only celebrity crush is NFL official Sarah Thomas. I strongly dislike LSU fans who think Alabama is its biggest rival, warm weather, steaks cooked more than rare, hot dogs with ketchup, restaurants without online ordering, ranch dressing, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Alex Ovechkin, Barry Bonds, Putin, his lover in Belarus, North Korean dictators, Venezuelan dictators, all NHL teams in the south (especially the Lightning and Panthers), Brooklyn Nets and Major League Soccer.
