Slow day? I’ll take it this time
Today has been one of those days where I thank God I don’t have much, if anything, to do, allowing me to try to get over this cold I’ve been fighting since I left Kansas City Sunday.
I tried to get up at a decent hour this morning, but each time, I fell back asleep. It wasn’t until after 1:30 when I was finally able to drag myself into the bathroom to shower and shave. Felt good to get rid of two days’ worth of stubble and stink.
I finally got through the first four episodes of the last season of The O.C., then got out of the house long enough to get my hair cut. I had gone 27 days without one, and although it wouldn’t be long to 99 percent of the population, I could feet it, especially in the back. Not making that mistake again.
Tuesdays are usually busy during the school year, because there are volleyball matches in the fall, basketball games in the winter, and track meets in the spring, not to mention deadlines for four of the papers I write for. I know future Tuesdays will be hectic, but today, I’m not complaining over a slow day. I still have a couple of errands to get done in Hays, but I wanted to wait until it got a little cooler.
