Monday, get here!

Another forgettable Sunday. I’m home in Russell due to the ridiculous crowds which have gathered in every Kansas City sports bar due to the NASCAR race at Kansas Speedway, the Chiefs game in San Francisco which is going on now, and the Royals playoff game vs. the Angels which starts at 6:30.

My mother cooked pasta, but I couldn’t enjoy it having to look across the table at the woman who is voting for the far left regressive candidates in Kansas’ elections next month. And i couldn’t enjoy it knowing my father won’t get DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket, severely limiting my viewing options.

UPDATE, 11 p.m.: Joey Logano won the NASCAR race. YUCK. He drives a Ford. I don’t like Ford. I’m a Chevy and GM man. Chiefs lost 22-17 to the 49ers. Meh. Royals beat the Angels 8-3 to win the ALDS in three straight games and advance to face the Orioles in the ALCS starting Friday in Baltimore.

The good news: Monday is here in one hour. Can’t come soon enough.

About David

Louisiana native living in Kansas. New Orleans born, LSU graduate. I have Asperger’s Syndrome, one toe less than most humans, addictions to The Brady Bunch, Lifetime movies, Bluey, most sports, food and trivia. Big fan of Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, New Orleans Saints, Montreal Canadiens. Was a big fan of Quebec Nordiques until they moved to Denver. My only celebrity crush is NFL official Sarah Thomas. I strongly dislike LSU fans who think Alabama is its biggest rival, warm weather, steaks cooked more than rare, hot dogs with ketchup, restaurants without online ordering, ranch dressing, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Alex Ovechkin, Barry Bonds, Putin, his lover in Belarus, North Korean dictators, Venezuelan dictators, all NHL teams in the south (especially the Lightning and Panthers), Brooklyn Nets and Major League Soccer.
