Going for it

I’m going to Kansas City today. Probably against my better judgement. But I figured I’d go for sports trivia tonight at 7, and then I could leave at 8 if I wanted.

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as much lately. The illness kicked my butt last week, and yesterday, my mother’s cooking made me so lethargic all I wanted to do was sleep. Her food is great, but Sunday afternoon isn’t the best time for it, especially when there are NFL games on and I have work to do. I’m going to be able to catch up, but it makes it a little more difficult. At least I got Osborne and the MCL column out the way. The rest should be alright in time.

Volleyball tomorrow at Smith Center. I promised Peggy Cox at Norton I would go to see her daughter, Caitlyn, play for the Bluejays. A promise is a promise.

About David

I am a sportswriter for a group of weekly newspapers in small towns across northern Kansas. I grew up in New Orleans, went to college at LSU and wandered in the wilderness until Hurricane Katrina finally put me on the path to my current job.
