Hello July

The first 16 hours of July have not produced much in the way of drama. It won’t stay that way for all 31 days, simply because what is coming up, but hopefully it will be mostly peaceful.

Returned to Buffalo Wild Wings at 2 this afternoon. Tori is bartending, and this will be the last time I see her until Brittany’s wedding reception in 10 days. I brought her prints of the two pictures we took together Sunday night. She loved them.

Last night was busier than usual for a Tuesday night. The U.S. women’s football team was playing, as were the Royals. I’m sorry but I can’t root for the Americans in the Women’s World Cup. I’ll explain in another post.

I’m going back to Russell tomorrow or Friday. I have things I need to do back home like laundry and getting a fresh haircut before I return for Brittany and Zach’s big night in St. Joseph.

I’m torn about going to Buffalo Wild Wings tomorrow. Brittany and Liz are working, but I might think that would be overkill. Raymie is returning from Costa Rica Friday, and if I do stay through Friday morning I could drop in before I headed west. I just don’t know about Liz and Brittany. I don’t want to overdo it. I’m sure Liz would be happy to see me, but I don’t know about Brittany.

Lisa left Kansas City this morning for good. She’s moving to Chicago (actually Palatine, a suburb in northwesern Cook County) to set up a new life with Jeff and their baby, which is due December 30. Liz will soon be moving to Colorado, so two of the people I lean on a lot when I come to Kansas City will be gone. At least Brittany, Raymie, Tori and many others will still be here. I left Louisiana on a lot shorter notice, so I know how that goes.

About David

Louisiana native living in Kansas. New Orleans born, LSU graduate. I have Asperger’s Syndrome, one toe less than most humans, addictions to The Brady Bunch, Lifetime movies, Bluey, most sports, food and trivia. Big fan of Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, New Orleans Saints, Montreal Canadiens. Was a big fan of Quebec Nordiques until they moved to Denver. My only celebrity crush is NFL official Sarah Thomas. I strongly dislike LSU fans who think Alabama is its biggest rival, warm weather, steaks cooked more than rare, hot dogs with ketchup, restaurants without online ordering, ranch dressing, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Alex Ovechkin, Barry Bonds, Putin, his lover in Belarus, North Korean dictators, Venezuelan dictators, all NHL teams in the south (especially the Lightning and Panthers), Brooklyn Nets and Major League Soccer.
