I went Howard Hughes again. Geez when does this cycle end? I keep making the same mistakes, no matter what area of my life you look at.

There really was a lot of bad stuff which went on since my last post. I was stupid enough to leave one of my Tervis glasses on the roof of my car and then drive off without realizing it. I went back to Buffalo Wild Wings 20 minutes later, but it was too late.

It could have been worse. My iPod was stolen from my car in the same parking space in October. I know better than to leave it exposed anymore. Except when I’m in a small town where I know the landscape, I’ll hide the iPod in my console.

As far as losing things, the Tervis was the only thing I lost on the last trip to Kansas City.

I had a humbling experience my last night of the trip. Something on social media set me off, and I let it carry over to my conversations with others, both people I knew (Robb and Peggy) and to others at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was time for me to go home.

I committed a faux pas the Thursday before Easter when I overslept and missed an appointment with Dr. Patriarch in Hays. I was feeling bad that morning anyway, but I should have done more to make sure I could make the appointment. The good news was I got to reschedule the appointemnt for the following Monday.

Easter was uneventful. Between the return to Russell (March 23) and the appointment (March 28), I left the house for two hours, long enough to pick up prescriptions in Hays, do a little shopping and get back at 5:15.

My parents left Monday morning for Tennessee. My nephew, Jake, was born Friday evening. Kim, Jason’s wife, had in vitro fertilization, then had a Caesaeren section to give birth. I have not seen my brother in five years, and I have never met his wife.

My parents are leaving Tennessee tomorrow, and they’ll be back in Russell Sunday. I have nothing really planned for the upcoming week, other than writing for work and an appointment with Dr. Custer Thursday afternoon. The week after that will be different.

I had a therapy session Thursday morning, then I went in the evening to Buffalo Wild Wings in Salina. That went well.

This morning, I drove to Kansas City. Robb and Dawn are meeting me at Buffalo Wild Wings Zona Rosa later this afternoon.

I have got to find a way to stop going long periods without blogging. Think.
